A few weeks ago at Christian Assembly we had communion together and celebrated the service of my family. It was our last Sunday and Pastor White wanted to serve my family. I was so honored because he did this. See, a true leader loves and serves those whom he leads. He showed me that true spiritual leadership means loving service to one another.
In Mark 9:35 Jesus says, "If anyone desires to be first he shall be last of all and servant of all." Jesus always modeled that. Can you imagine Jesus, the Savior of the world, King of Kings, washing your feet in the upper room? WOW! What an act of love and true leadership by example.
1 Peter 4:8, Peter tells us, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins."
Life experiences shape us...Jesus transforms us.
